Hmmm....the Volt becomes more and more interesting to me every time I look at it. I wonder how much they'll cost CPO in another year or two.
This one is only $20,000!

The Volt is awesome. It's a shame no one really buys them because of all the bad press they got in the beginning.

the factory warranty on the battery and most of the drivetrain is 8 yrs 100K miles anyway. I would hope that's transferrable.

Just another side note that's crushing the used market on Volts - when you buy new they start at $35000, subtract any deals you negotiate (there are many dealers discounting them), any state tax bonuses (IL and CA have good ones), the $7500 fed tax credit, and you are around $25K or less. Throw in the occasional 0% financing offer and it can become hard to not look at something new with 0 miles for not much more than they fetch used.

That's fair. I guess I hadn't seen any on the used market until recently, and to me even after tax credits and everything else it's still a $35,000 car selling for $20,000 on the used market only a few years later.

When I test drove one I was mightily impressed...pretty darn sophisticated. But it wasn't the right car for me - 25K miles/year nearly all highway. The killer was the small trunk area; I need space for my work stuff...which is also heavy and that lift over would kill me....
